Kosteletzkya

Kosteletzkya is a genus of the plant family Malvaceae. It includes about 30 species found worldwide.

The genus was separated from Hibiscus in 1835 by Carl Presl, who named it after Vincenz Franz Kosteletzky.

Kosteletzkya virginica - Seashore mallow also known as Sweat weed or Virginia saltmarsh mallow, and Salt Marsh Mallow is an herb found in marshes along the eastern seashore of the United States. This flowering plant is in family Malvaceae of the order Malvales. Researcher John Gallagher describes the pink-flowered seashore mallow as both a perennial and a halophyte, or salt-tolerant plant, that grows in areas where other crops can't.
